Through a three-piece narrative, I wanted to paint how I perceived time through an art deco lens. First, I began my journey where there was a way to measure time – a watch. I chose two vantage points, the top and the side. Then, I looked through plenty of art deco art and advertisements to give me some reference points. Next, I proceeded to the inners of the watch to shed light on the hidden mechanism that keeps the watch running. Finally, I chose the outer perspective where we see the evolution of our universe itself and the unknown future that we are heading to and at the same time creating the future.
