In high school, I was introduced to the methods of bookbinding and for my senior year at Green Meadow we were required to bind a book in leather. I designed and stained the end papers, cut the angel emblem by hand, folded and bound all the sections and flower glued the necessary components together. I chose the red-colored leather because it reminded me of what an old book was like in the monasteries of the medieval era.
